Arsenal’s Mikel Arteta has turned to former manager Arsene Wenger for guidance as the Gunners approach a crucial stage in the Premier League season.
With Arsenal aiming to clinch their first Premier League title in 20 years, Arteta is keen to learn from past successes.
Despite being at the top of the table, Arteta acknowledges the challenge ahead, especially considering that most of his players have never won a league title before. Even Arteta himself only experienced this success as an assistant coach at Manchester City.
Recognizing the need for guidance, Arteta has reached out to Wenger for advice on maintaining a title challenge until the end of the season. In an interview with the Daily Mail, Arteta said:
“I have spoken to him (Wenger) a few times. There were certain topics about how they won it and the later stages.
“He used to talk about that when I was a player. It is always there in the hard drive.
“For this time of the season, at the end it is about finding a way to win the game – and that is it. You can do it in various ways when you look at how they won the titles.
“And how they won certain games with very, very, very close margins. He always talked about that, about the fine margins, and who is going to step up on the occasion to make it happen.”
Arsenal’s ambition to reclaim the Premier League title has prompted Arteta to seek the wisdom of his former mentor. With Wenger’s insights, Arteta hopes to navigate the challenges and lead Arsenal to glory once again.
