Manchester United launch crazy first offer for EPL striker with 72 goals and 22 assists

Brentford’s forward, Ivan Toney, is poised to become a highly coveted striker in the forthcoming summer transfer market.

Having only a year left on his contract, Toney has expressed his eagerness for fresh opportunities.

This sentiment was evident when he switched agents earlier in the season, opting for the representation of esteemed super-agent Jonathan Barnett.

This action was widely understood as a clear signal of his intention to explore new opportunities.

Several prominent clubs have shown interest in the 28-year-old player, including Tottenham, Arsenal, Chelsea, and Manchester United.

Among these potential suitors, it appears that Manchester United has taken the initial significant step.

A recent report from Spain, referenced by TEAMtalk, states that Manchester United has initiated negotiations to entice Toney from Brentford.

Allegedly, the Red Devils have made an initial bid of nearly €70m for the striker.

This move is purportedly aligned with a broader strategy by new shareholder Sir Jim Ratcliffe to make significant moves in the transfer market.

Ratcliffe, poised to enact substantial transformations within the club, intends to “astonish the football realm” with this daring initial offer.

His impact is foreseen to transcend mere player acquisitions, as he plans to revolutionize proceedings in the forthcoming transfer window, anticipated to involve several alterations.

Furthermore, there have been notable adjustments behind the scenes, with fresh personnel assuming pivotal roles.

In regards to the team lineup, it’s probable that several players will be released, while many new faces are anticipated to join, as the club aims to rebuild its squad with fresh ownership.

Toney’s exceptional performance at Brentford highlights his ability as both a goal scorer and a creator.

Across 140 appearances, he has netted 72 goals and provided 22 assists.

A potential transfer to Manchester United wouldn’t just enhance their offensive lineup but also signify the club’s ambitious plans for the upcoming season.
