Jorginho’s Move to Flamengo Confirmed – Arsenal Player Set to Sign Pre-Contract

Jorginho is expected to leave Arsenal at the end of the season when his contract expires at the Emirates.

Flamengo, a Brazilian club, has shown strong interest in signing the midfielder and has been working on this move for several weeks now.

Earlier, on February 23rd, RTI Esporte reported that the Arsenal player might not move to Brazil because of ‘family pressure.’ Just two days later, Bolavip Brasil mentioned that Jorginho’s representatives were anticipating offers from Juventus.

However, Brazilian journalist Venê Casagrande gave an update on the situation through X (formerly known as Twitter). Despite previous reports about family concerns and possible interest from Juventus, Flamengo is still very much in the running to sign him. Casagrande confirmed that Flamengo has made significant progress in securing the services of the 33-year-old.

According to Casagrande, ‘everything is agreed’ between Flamengo and Jorginho for a three-year contract. He added that the Brazilian club expects the player to sign the pre-contract this week. The next step will be for lawyers to handle the paperwork, allowing Jorginho to join Flamengo as a free agent in the summer.

This season, Jorginho has played 1,201 minutes in 23 games for Arsenal.
