John Terry Reveals His Top Four Chelsea Players – Surprising Omission of Moisés Caicedo

Chelsea legend John Terry has recently revealed his top four players for the club this season, sparking some debate. Despite Chelsea’s inconsistent form, with a 4-0 win over Southampton following two losses in their previous Premier League matches, some players have stood out in a positive way.

In a conversation with DR Sports, Terry named Cole Palmer, Enzo Fernandez, Noni Madueke, and Pedro Neto as his top performers. “Cole sticks out straight away,” Terry said. “I think Enzo’s been very good. Noni has done well this year, been really direct, and I like Neto as well. Those would be my top four.”

While Terry singled out these four, he did not include Moisés Caicedo, who has been a standout for Chelsea this season. Although Caicedo’s individual form hasn’t been flawless, he’s still among the top three in the Premier League for long pass accuracy. This omission has raised some eyebrows.

On the other hand, Liverpool legend Graeme Souness has come to Palmer’s defense, urging critics to stop targeting the young player, even though his recent performances have been mixed. Despite his ups and downs, Palmer remains one of the key figures in Chelsea’s squad.

Another notable mention is Pedro Neto, who has impressed since stepping up as a striker due to Nicolas Jackson’s injury. Neto scored during Chelsea’s victory over Southampton and has adapted well to his new role, saying, “I’m really enjoying playing there.”

While Terry’s list focused on Palmer, Fernandez, Madueke, and Neto, fellow Chelsea legend Gianfranco Zola included Caicedo in his list of top performers. Zola praised Palmer for his exceptional performances, added that Caicedo has improved significantly this season, and noted Neto’s directness and team play.

As Chelsea prepares for their upcoming match against Leicester City, Caicedo, currently on nine yellow cards, faces the risk of suspension if he receives another booking, which would cause him to miss crucial London derby matches against Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur.
