Erik Ten Hag Boasts About His Trophy Record At Manchester United

Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag has confidently defended his tenure at the club, boasting about the successes he has achieved in his first two years and expressing optimism for the future.

Despite the team’s underwhelming start to the current season, which sees them sitting eighth in the Premier League after losing two of their first three competitive games, Ten Hag remains resolute about his accomplishments and ambitions.

Speaking at a press conference ahead of United’s crucial clash with Liverpool at Old Trafford, Ten Hag was quick to remind everyone of the trophies he has brought to the club.

Erik Ten Hag: “We’ve Won the Most Trophies After City”

“Listen, we won, the last two years, behind Manchester City, the most trophies in English football, so we performed already the last two seasons,” the Dutchman asserted. “And listen to me, that is the reality, they are the facts.”

Ten Hag’s confidence in his ability to bring further success to Manchester United is unwavering. “And, yes, also this year, we want to win and we want to win trophies. And so I’m quite confident we will build to this. And that is what I did the last 11 years. So just be patient, waiting. We will work on the process and we have to improve the process. And we will aim for our next targets and we will go for trophies,” he stated, outlining his commitment to continuing his trophy-winning ways.

When faced with criticism about United’s perceived lack of a definitive playing style under his management, Ten Hag responded emphatically, “There is only one thing in football, that’s about at the end of the season if you win prizes, trophies, or not. And I repeat myself, after City, we won the most trophies in English football.”

As for whether he feels adequately credited for his accomplishments, Ten Hag remained indifferent. “I don’t care if I get the credit or I don’t get the credit. What it’s about is I had to build this club. We brought young players in, we progressed young players, we won trophies. So what can I do more?” he questioned.

With a high-stakes match against Liverpool on the horizon, Ten Hag emphasized the importance of fan support in creating a formidable atmosphere at Old Trafford.

“I’m sure the fans are ready for it now, and the fans are ready together with us to take the fire, to take this good challenge, and we are all excited. Fans are excited, the team is excited and in togetherness. We will go for it,” he urged.

As Manchester United prepares for one of their most significant tests of the season, Ten Hag’s confidence and determination to succeed remain as strong as ever.
