Eden Hazard Finally Ends the Debate on Who is Better Between Him and Mohamed Salah

Eden Hazard has finally addressed a long-standing debate that has divided Chelsea and Liverpool fans for years. The former Chelsea superstar admitted that Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah is indeed the better player between the two, putting an end to comparisons between them as two of the Premier League’s most iconic wingers.

The discussion has been a topic of heated debate, with Chelsea fans fiercely defending Hazard’s legacy during his seven-year stint at Stamford Bridge. Hazard dazzled audiences with his creativity, dribbling, and vision, contributing 110 goals and 85 assists in 352 games for Chelsea. However, his move to Real Madrid marked the decline of his once-thriving career, ultimately leading to his retirement after struggling with injuries and form.

On the other hand, Mohamed Salah has enjoyed an extraordinary career with Liverpool. Since rejoining the Premier League in 2017, Salah has shattered records, scoring 216 goals and providing 93 assists in 357 games for the Reds. His ability to maintain top form year after year has made him one of the most consistent and prolific players in Europe.

When asked who he thought was the better player, Hazard’s answer was both humble and definitive. In an interview with SPORTbible, the Belgian winger candidly said:

“Mo Salah, by far. He was good already, you know, but that good? We played when he was playing in Basel. So we [Chelsea] played Champions League the year before and then we were like, ‘Wow’. And then we bought him like, ‘Yeah, we have to. We have to buy this guy because this guy is so good’. And then, you know, in football you have ups and downs and then what he did with Liverpool is like, ‘Wow’.”

Hazard’s comments reflect the undeniable impact Salah has had, not just in England but on the global stage. The Egyptian winger has not only surpassed Hazard in terms of goals and assists, but his influence on Liverpool’s success, including winning the Champions League and Premier League, has elevated him to legendary status.

While Hazard remains beloved by Chelsea fans, Salah’s sustained excellence and trophy-laden career have made him the standout winger of their era, a sentiment Hazard himself now shares.
