However, despite these struggles, it seems that Chelsea’s manager, Enzo Maresca, is not under immediate threat. According to a detailed article by The Athletic, there are no signs that Maresca’s position within the club has been weakened by the poor run of form. Many players still hold him in high regard, appreciating his quality training sessions and tactical precision. While his overall strategy has stayed the same, Maresca is praised for his adaptability, making necessary changes to individual roles and positioning depending on the game.
Given this, Chelsea’s ownership group, led by Todd Boehly and BlueCo, seems to be planning for the summer transfer window with Maresca still in charge. As part of these plans, they are looking to strengthen the squad, and a young South American star is now a target.

Despite having only made five senior appearances for the Argentine club, Subiabre has already attracted attention from several top clubs, including Arsenal, Manchester City, and Liverpool.
Subiabre has a release clause of €30 million (£25 million), and River Plate are prepared to sell him if this figure is met.
