Arsenal make huge alterations for all 3 new 2024/25 kits
According to a report, Arsenal are considering using a cannon instead of their traditional club crest on all three of their kits for the 2024/25 season.
Leaks have indicated that the Arsenal home kit for the 2024/25 season will feature a cannon logo instead of the usual club badge. However, it appears that this change will not be limited to the home kit alone.
According to James McNicholas’ report for The Athletic, all of the club’s shirts for the 2024/25 season will incorporate the cannon logo.
Arsenal have reportedly chosen to celebrate the cannon for the upcoming season, but this doesn’t necessarily mean that the club crest is going to be permanently replaced.
According to McNicholas, transitioning the club’s crest to the cannon wouldn’t be a simple task.
It would require consultation with supporters, incur significant expenses, and most importantly, there’s no indication that Arsenal intends to make such a change.
After all, this isn’t the first occasion Arsenal have featured a cannon as part of their badge. The current green third kit for this season utilizes a cannon logo, as did the black away kit in the 2022/23 season and the yellow away kit in the 2021/22 season.
However, it’s been a while since the cannon has been featured on the home kit.
The last instance was in the 1989/90 season, although it included an “AFC” incorporated into cannon balls. The last time the cannon was used on its own on an Arsenal home kit was in the 1977/78 season.
The home kit will still feature Arsenal’s traditional red and white colors, but with the addition of a blue stripe on the front. While this season’s Adidas shoulder stripes were gold, next season’s will be blue.
In contrast to this season’s shirt, the white sleeves will now extend all the way down the sides of the shirt to the bottom.
Additionally, it appears that the size of the Adidas logo has been noticeably increased.
According to Arsenal Shirt Collection, the away kit for the upcoming season will be black with red and green details.
However, it’s still uncertain whether the women’s team will have a different away kit next year, like they did this season.
Finally, the third kit for the 2024/25 season will be aqua, featuring light purple and navy blue details. Notably, the third kit will mark the return of the original Adidas trefoil logo.
Based on past seasons, Arsenal are expected to debut their new home kit in the final game of the current season against Everton on Sunday, May 19th, 2024.
The club will likely release one of the other two kits early in pre-season, with the remaining kit following later in the summer.
